Description
The Cannondale Cargowagen Neo 2 is the bike that replaces your car without complicating your life. A compact longtail, designed for the city: you can carry two children and groceries (up to 200 kg total), weave through traffic, and park where a car has no chance.
Under the frame, serious hardware: the Bosch Cargo Line motor (85 Nm, Smart System), designed for heavy loads, boosts you effortlessly even when fully loaded or going uphill. The 545 Wh battery ensures long rides, and if you want to go even further, the bike accepts a second battery to double the range.
Its 20″ wheels lower the center of gravity: the result is a stable, low, and agile bike, incredibly reassuring even when loaded. The Shimano Deore 10-speed drivetrain offers a wide range of gears (11-41 cassette) to conquer hills and false flats with precise shifting. And to get on easily, the dropper seatpost lowers with a button on the handlebar.
For comfort and safety, it has everything: suspension fork (SR Suntour, 80 mm) that smooths out cobblestones, Shimano 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, Bosch Kiox 300 display, integrated lighting, mudguards, robust kickstand, Abus frame lock, and an integrated toolbox in the frame for your keys and wallet.
Léon's word: Neo 1 or Neo 2?
- Battery: the Neo 1 has a larger 725 Wh battery, the Neo 2 has 545 Wh (+ 2nd battery possible)
- Drivetrain: the Neo 1 uses Enviolo continuously variable transmission (shift even when stopped, zero maintenance), the Neo 2 uses a Shimano Deore 10-speed derailleur (lighter and livelier on climbs)
- The rest remains the same: same Bosch Cargo Line 85 Nm motor, same low frame, same 4-piston brakes, same 200 kg load capacity
- Our advice: if you want maximum range and no fuss, go for the Neo 1; if you prefer a livelier bike and a softer budget, go for the Neo 2 💚
